Diane Gandara is the VP of Sales, based in Silicon Valley working for ioSENTRIX, a software security consulting firm that is based out of Sterling, VA. She’s dedicated to helping the Fortune 500, Financial Companies, Govt, to small startups take a holistic approach in how they mitigate risk, prevent and remediate security vulnerabilities, provide security assessments and improve their overall security posture across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Web applications, Mobile, Cloud Apps, 3rd Party Apps, Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps, Architectures, Infrastructures, around serverless environments of AWS, Google, Azure, Open Source, Fullstack, Embedded Devices, IoT/IIoT/OT/ICS, Networks and onsite Security Training areas.

Diane is an avid Networker, Volunteer, Security Conference Planning Member, Mentor and ongoing learner in tech within Silicon Valley. She is a Member of WiCyS -Silicon Valley who keeps an equal balance about how she can steer women. She also does outreach for the communities of ISSA-Silicon Valley and San Francisco Chapters, a long standing Security Practitioner Group. She is a key part of two Conferencing Planning teams, “The One World Together Conference” (formerly the Cybersecurity Smart City Symposium that serves Govt Leaders & the Community, and the ISSA SF- Regional Chapter Cybersecurity Conference where she works to tie her network contacts and Speakers together for a more rich community integration that ensures security all around.

She is currently working to stand up Women, Students, and Vets working w/Professionals to serve Smart Cities efforts, promoting and providing Mentorship along her trails of where she engages. She is currently part of a unique coalition called TechCares, that is supporting the effort from a Cyber standpoint to help bring small businesses back up in Silicon Valley and across the states under Covid-19 conditions.

She is an advocate for cross-pollination of female networking groups, and an advocate of diversity & inclusion and she encourages CISO groups and security and tech infrastructure groups to work together without borders that will soar us as a community and will help us to meet the exponential growth that we expect from 5G and the AI/ML uptick that is before us in the Cybersecurity Industry.

What mentoring means to me
