About
Apurv’s is experienced in information security, risk, and privacy experiences revolve around security controls, policies, standards, cyber risk assessments, and cybersecurity program development.
He has worked as a Cybersecurity and Privacy consultant in various capacities in the technology and retail industries, with a focus on integrated compliance. He has also worked with the following
authoritative sources: NIST CSF 2014, NIST 800-53 r4, ISO 27001/27002, SOC2, and CoBIT 5.
He has received extensive training in various core security fields (i.e. security controls assessments, threat modeling, data loss prevention). He graduated from the University of Southern California’s Viterbi School of Engineering, where he studied Cybersecurity Engineering as a specialization in the school’s Master of Science program (MS).
His undergraduate studies and work experiences revolve around Energy and Utilities Industries. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
He holds CompTIA Security+, CEHv9, Associate – (ISC)2 – CISSP, ISO 27001 LA certifications. He is currently pursuing CISA and CCSP.
