I just wanted to share my testimonial and celebrate a mentor I met through your program who is Amy Scites. I first attended the Global Cybersecurity Mentoring session after reading about it from WiCys in February, that day I reached out to a couple of people for possible mentorship and Amy Scites offered to mentor me. I was nervous at first because I never had a mentor and didn’t know what was expected of me but as soon as we started our sessions things just normalized. Amy actually helped me get my life back in order in terms of focus and ambition. Our mentoring sessions started with the basics of life in which we will talk about how to be more productive, have more energy, mental health, etc. then things started happening themselves, I managed to pass my CSX Cybersecurity fundamentals exam which I have been postponing afterward I was awarded a 6-month Blue team training course through the ICMCP-Google scholarship and currently studying towards my Security+ she really made me believe in myself, offers me guidance, refers me to really cool really resources that supplement my studying, in general, she helps with my professional and personal growth and I am very appreciative of that and the good your initiative does to us.
